Jay Gruden Named Redskins Head Coach

The Redskins will announce that Jay Gruden is the new head coach of the Washington Redskins at 4 pm ET. His staff is already filling out with Sean Mcvay the 27 year old former tight end coach is set to become the offensive coordinator. Mcvay has been in the NFL since 2008 and with the Redskins sine 2010. He is the youngest coordinator ever in the NFL. Multiple reports came out saying that Jim Haslett will remain the defensive coordinator, but some have claimed 2nd year secondary coach Raheem Morris will be named the defensive coordinator. The Redskins have reported are set to run a pro style west coast offense. It is not completely clear if the new offence will have any resemblance of the old read option. A intresting stat is that the HC, DC and new OC All served as part of the coaching staff for the UFL Florida Huskers and all have been involved in Tampa Bay besides Haslett.
