Redskins Vs 49ers Notes
The Redskins lost to the Giants 24-17. The game showed the Redskins being evenly matched in positions for the most part. The Redskins caused themselves to lose the game. There were to many dropped passes and dumb penalties that turned out to be the deciding factor in the game.
1. The first possession of the Redskins was by far the best the Redskins looked all year. RG3 proved he can be effective in the early stages of the game
2. The Skins need Jordan Reed back. Fred Davis has lost his touch as a receiving TE. He dropped several passes and was penalized in the game. Logan Paulsen is a solid player but does not cause the match up problems Reed does.
3.The Redskins may need to run a Chip Kelly speed offence to be effective. The first possession was a result of quick throws and starting the next play quickly.
4. The defense will need to be rebuilt as well as the special teams.
5. The line is only efficient when it comes to zone blocking and the hurry up offence. Hints why the Redskins easily drive down the field in the late stages of the game in a hurry up offence tempo.
6. Morris needs to get more carries in the second half. He is effective and the way the read option works is the deference needs to be worried of Alfred running.
The Redskins are now out of the playoff race. Coach Mike has openly said the next games will be to ruin others season.... At least now the skins will have high draft picks to rebuild with in rounds 2-7
