Redskins Post Game Notes

Redskins lose to the Packers 38-20 falling to 0-2 for the year. The skins once again started slow and failed to convert 3rd downs early and often. A positive to take away was the fact they had only 1 pick going on it for the 4th down. The skins will go to the drawing board to see what they are doing wrong on the 3rd down conversions. They went 3/11 on 3rd downs. The skins offence again got started in the 2nd half once again due to the fact of a soft D.

Quick Notes

Robert Griffin: His mechanics were sound as well as his decisions. He missed a few passes but overall much better than last week. 26/40 320 3TDs 1 INT

Josh Morgan: He provided a roller coaster ride. He dropped a 1st down pass but made up for it just like last week with 2 first down catches.

Jordan Reed: Again showed great flashes of potential with knowing were to be when.

Alfred Morris: Bounced back with 13 attempts for 107 yards. He did not fumble and showed good pass blocking. He failed to get in a rhythm in the 1st half and only has 25 attempts through 2 games. In order to succeed in fake hand offs they need to be worried about Morris. Hopefully they will give him a larger chance. Which will only happen if the Skins can stay in the game this early.

Brandon Meriweather: He delivered big hits and looked great then..ready for this surprise..he got hurt. This brings his total games played with the skins to .5 of a game in 2 years.

Defense: Once again they were driven back and they gave up big plays. It not entirely there fault when there offence fails to produce during the 1st half.THey got good pressure on the QB early but the pass coverage was terrible.

Bacarri Rambo: Was solid did good in tackling and alright coverage not bad for a rookie facing a Rogers led Offence.
