4 Keys to the Game Results

1. 3rd QB Competition

  • Rex Grossman went 10/16 with a TD and a pick. He showed a good understanding of the offence and mad good choices. He overthrew several receivers and underthrew Moss once which prevented a first down.
  • Pat White went 3/6 with a pick but had 1 dropped pass and the pick was due to a receiver falling down during his route. Par Whit showed the ability to run the read option well as well as making good throws. As well as running the ball and not taking unnecessary hits.
Due to the lack of throwing by White it is hard to judge who won the pre season week 2 battle but White showed how much he can change a game with his athletic ability and made good judgment passes. White gets the edge in the battle for his performance last night.

2. The Young Secondary

Overall it was not a bad game for anyone in the secondary.

Bacarri Rambo: He missed a tackle due to a bad angle but made up for it by forcing a fumble in the backfield. He was close to having several picks. He showed good tackling but seemed to struggle with coverage. Another Rollercoaster game for Rambo.
Grade: C

David Amerson: After a strong week 1 his week 2 performance was sub par he was beaten two times for completions. He did show a good nose for the football by jumping passes.

Grade C

Richard Crawford: He showed his closing speed as well as coming close to several picks he
also did a good job in tackling.

Grade: B

Chase Minefeild: Allowed 2 catches and was beaten once but did a solid job overall

Grade: C+

3.Who to back up Roy Helu JR.

After last night it seems to be Keiland Williams with 8 carries for 39 yards. Jawan Jamison and Chris Thompson both played but with Thompson fumbling and Jawan Johnson only getting 5 carries its hard to chose either two to beat Williams.
